I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. I love the story in Mark where Jesus met a disabled man in the synagogue.  Noticing the disability, Jesus asked the religious leaders who were watching him, 'Is it all right to do kind deeds on the Sabbath?'...They wouldn't answer. Boy, did that anger the Lord. Why? In Mark chapter 3 it says that Jesus was deeply disturbed by their indifference to human need! That’s why, right there on the Sabbath, the Lord told the man to reach out his hand; he did and the hand was healed. What’s most interesting about this story is that it was the people’s indifference which prompted Jesus to move into action. And the same is true today. Are you disturbed by the indifference of people around you to the needs of the disabled? Today, let it push you into action to reach out and make a difference. Need some ideas?
