We wait for everything—we wait at the dentist, we wait at the check-out line...

Hi, I'm Joni Eareckson Tada. We wait for everything—we wait at the dentist, we wait at the check-out line … wait for the promotion or for that medical report. Usually, though, when we think of waiting for these things, we think of just “killing time.” But, friend, God has not given us time to kill. Isaiah chapter 40 tells us “those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Did you get that? When we wait we are to be active; not sit around and kill time, but use time to live. So, friend, don’t be discouraged while you wait, live and remain involved. I guarantee you, you will find strength along the way. And if you’d like to find ways to live a life of service while you wait on the Lord, visit joniandfriends.org where we’ve got lots of ways for you to use your time wisely.

Have You Been Encouraged?
