Our staff conferences are always a wonderful time of connecting and sharing stories.

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with a memory from a recent Joni and Friends’ staff conference. You see, these conferences are always a wonderful time of connecting and sharing stories. Everyone from our headquarters in California and from our offices across the U.S. get together. We get together for spiritual refreshment and collaboration on upcoming events. But the best part of every gathering every year is when we worship our God in song. But this year, the worship time was especially joyful because it was led by a handful of adults with intellectual disabilities. Everybody sang off key but it sure was happy. They’re part of a nearby church choir. At Joni and Friends, we often say that disability ministry isn’t complete until people with disabilities are doing the ministering, and that time of worship that day was such a happy example. Hey, learn more about disability ministry at joniandfriends.org.
