Pastor's Conference

Often when we deliver wheelchairs in developing nations, we will hold pastors conferences.

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Often when we deliver wheelchairs in developing nations, we will hold pastors conferences. Like we did recently in Mexico. Just why is it so important to us to reach pastors? Well, consider Fidel – a young law student who is blind. For years, the church he’d been attending ignored him; didn’t involve him; they didn’t see him as valuable. But then, his pastor attended our conference where, together with others, he studied the words of Jesus in Luke chapter 14 to bring in the disabled; make them, compel them to come in. Suddenly this pastor remembered Fidel, and from then on out, that young blind man was embraced by the church. Fidel has even joined the worship team. Hey, that’s a story from Mexico, but if you think your church could benefit from our training opportunities on disability and the church, visit joniandfriends.org.
