Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. For two years, Jennifer’s friend, Katherine, battled cancer. But in the end, it ravaged her body leaving her unable to even communicate. Hospice tried to keep her comfortable until the Lord would take her home. As Jennifer sat by her friend’s bedside, she felt helpless; what could she say to comfort Katherine? It's when Second Corinthians came to mind where it says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.” So, Jennifer began to sing praise songs, one after another. That’s when Kathrine opened her eyes, looked at her and smiled. Jennifer said, “I will never forget that moment." “My praise is what God used to reach Catherine with his comfort.” She told me. So today when there is a need for comfort, why don't you start by giving praise to God.
