Now, A Precious Gift

I’m so grateful for the caregivers I’ve had throughout my fifty years of quadriplegia.

Hi, I'm Joni Eareckson Tada. I’m so grateful for the caregivers I’ve had throughout my fifty years of quadriplegia. But I’m especially thankful for my husband Ken who has been by my side for more than 35 years of marriage. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been good. And I think we would both say our relationship has gotten sweeter as the years go by. Looking back, our marriage has been built on the sweet and precious moments – times when we held fast through fear; moments when we tenderly forgave each other; and powerful moments when God revealed truth in His Word. Ecclesiastes chapter 3 says that “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Times and seasons are made of… moments. So, savor them, and build on them. Because moments make up hours, and hours, make up days, and days… a lifetime of love and wisdom, especially if you’re married.
