Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada with the sweetest story. You’ve heard me talk before about Wheels for the World, and how we take used wheelchairs, refurbish them, ship them overseas to kids and adults who are really hurting for a wheelchair. For many of these families, a wheelchair can cost more than a year’s wages, and often a chair is a mighty example of God’s love. It’s why we’re so grateful when families here in the US donate wheelchairs they no longer need. Well not too long ago, we had one of our youngest donors come by! Lela is just four years old, but already she wants to help other kids like her who have spina bifida. So Lela brought the wheelchairs she has grown out of to our Joni and Friends team in Missouri, who were collecting used wheelchairs—what a gift and what a child! So learn more about Wheels for the World at joniandfriends.org.
