Journey's End

There's nothing I enjoy more than coming home after a long, tiring trip.

I'm Joni Eareckson Tada.  There's nothing I enjoy more than coming home after a long, tiring trip. Wheeling through the front door dropping my suitcases, and just relaxing! It's why when I am on a journey, I always keep my eye on the end of the trip – just judging how far the finish line is gives me the stamina to keep on going.  That's also the way I like to look at heaven.  Earth, for me -- in this wheelchair especially -- can feel like a long, tiring journey.  And just knowing that soon it'll end and a new journey will begin, well, it gives me all the more strength to face each day with courage.  Want to inch a little closer to heaven today?  John 17 says that eternal life is knowledge of God, so no matter where you are in the journey, start living the eternal life now by getting to know God.  Knowledge of Him here on your earthly journey will give you a wonderful head start on heaven.
