Job's Example

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada asking, who is your Bible hero? Perhaps it’s Job — the stalwart saint who remained faithful to God despite losing all his children, suffering terrible skin disease, going out of business, and living with the complaints of a distraught wife.  I mean, this guy is an example of faithfulness — but he’s also an example of service.  Just take a look at chapter 29, verse 15.  There, Job reminisces about his past — about the days when all was well, days of joy and abundance.  But then he says, “I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame.  I was a father to the needy; it took up the case of the stranger.”  Oh friend, and that is why Job is a hero to me — because he modeled God’s love for “the least,” for people like me.  And friend, you too, can follow Job’s example by serving people who are blind, lame or disabled.  Just visit to learn more.
