The Isaiah 40 Marriage

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Recently, Ken and I were reminiscing about our wedding day — remembering how delicious our wedding cake tasted, and how I wheeled over my wedding dress! When Ken and I took our vows on our wedding day, we were completely clueless as to what marriage with a disability would entail. And to be honest; we’ve faced many challenges. With my quadriplegia, chronic pain, and recent battle with cancer, our lives haven’t gotten any “easier.” But time and again, Ken and I have experienced the truth of Isaiah chapter 40, where God says he’ll give strength to those who grow tired and he’ll increase the strength of the weak. Today, perhaps you too are experiencing tough, hard challenges in a relationship, it could be a marriage or a friendship. If so, anchor that relationship deep into Isaiah 40 and God will give you the strength to persevere.
