Hi, I'm Joni Eareckson Tada and at my work area, I have a tack board that runs the length of the back of my desk. On it are pinned my project calendar, phone numbers, upcoming outreach events, all sorts of stuff. Also tacked up, is a necklace with a medallion that has the word hope engraved on it. I have tacked up a little sign that reads hope. And a rhinestone pin that says hope. And a large metal sign that says hope (it takes 4 stick pins to keep it secure). Why so many references to hope? Well, I know how quickly I can get deflated by the crunch of my disability. So within my eyesight? I want plenty of references to the hope I have as a Christian. But the best one on my board? Romans chapter 15, verse 13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Spirit." And that's your hope for today.
