Hi, this Joni Eareckson Tada and when I think of light bulbs for the Lord, I think of Holly. I met Holly when I saw her racing around our Family Retreat, spreading God’s love and joy to whomever was within arm’s reach. Holly walks with crutches, and that girl was going lickety-split. But Holly’s spina bifida is far from what defines her. In fact, she was not even attending the Family Retreat as a camper having a disability; no, this young woman had signed up to volunteer! You see, to some, Holly may appear to be weak, but as First Corinthians says, she’s absolutely indispensible, encouraging young kids with disabilities to dream big through Christ. And friend, you too can be of service to these kids and their parents (and you don't even have to use crutches or be in a wheelchair). Just go to joniandfriends.org to learn how you can serve at a Family Retreat.
