Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. My friend Guido was still new to paraplegia when he decided to volunteer by collecting wheelchairs for Wheels for the World. It gave Guido in his own wheelchair such joy to know he was doing something to show the love of Christ to kids with disabilities in developing nations. So, he thought… Why not take this serving thing to the next level? Then he signed up for a Wheels for the World trip to West Africa, where served as a seating mechanic. Guido came back so excited, saying, “Joni, I’ve begun to see the complete picture for my life, and how my motorcycle accident, and all the pain and suffering has led me to service.” Wow, Guido found joy and purpose by following the example of Jesus who came to serve. And if you’d like to follow that same example, visit joniandfriends.org. Sign up with Wheels for the World… again that joniandfriends.org.
