Peek‑a‑boo... I see you! Remember playing that when you were a kid?

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and peek‑a‑boo... I see you! Remember playing that when you were a kid? I still get a kick when I play that game with children. But I tell you, it was a different story in my teenage years. When I’d rush out the door with friends, my dad used to say, "Joni, I want you to act as though your mother and I were watching." I didn't like the idea of someone playing "peek‑a‑boo... I see you" during those rowdy, growing-up years. But now, I am comforted by the idea that someone is always watching; I like the idea that God never takes His eyes off of you and me. Our lives are an open book before the Lord. Genesis 16:13 puts it this way, "You are the God who sees me." Friend, don't let that intimidate you. It's a good reminder that He is present in every event of your life. His compassionate, caring eyes are upon you, for He is the God who sees.
