God Sees, God Knows

Hi, I'm Joni Eareckson Tada, wondering: were you ever bullied as a kid? I can recall one day in elementary school, a bunch of older kids teasing a hard-of-hearing classmate behind his back. Kids can be pretty rough on their peers, especially when there's a disability involved. That’s why in Leviticus chapter 19, the Lord says outright, "Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the Lord." And friend, this doesn’t just go for how you treat those who are deaf or blind; no, it’s for how you treat everyone and anyone. Although the people you may say disparaging things against or gossip about may not be aware of your malice, God is aware. God sees what you’re doing, He knows what you’re thinking, and He hears what you’re saying. Remember, He is Lord. Remember this the next time you feel the itch to talk bad about someone.
