Sometimes meeting the simplest of needs can make a world of difference…

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Sometimes meeting the simplest of needs can make a world of difference… especially to a mother. Like Rachel who has a chronic disabling illness. Rachel is not able to take her daughter to after-school activities, and it breaks her heart. But along comes Justyne, a sweet 11-year-old girl from Rachel’s church. Although just a child, Justyne was able to see the need.  And so, one morning at church, she asked if she could take Rachel’s daughter with her every week to a local swimming pool. Rachel beamed with joy and her daughter? Well, she and Justyne became great friends as well as swimming buddies. Proverbs 31 says, “She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.” Yep, even an 11-year-old girl can be a Proverbs 31 woman. If you’d like to help people as Justyne did, then visit us at
