Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Last summer Victoria went to Peru with her church to help build a house for a needy family. During the house build, she met a Peruvian man on the construction team. He told Victoria that he had a 7-year-old son with cerebral palsy, and his son was getting too heavy to carry. He needed a wheelchair for his boy. That’s when Victoria remembered that her mother was coming to Peru later in the year on a Wheels for the World team. So, she sent her mother a text asking if Joni and Friends could provide a wheelchair for this family.  When word got to us, we said, “Of course!” And today, the boy received a wheelchair through our Wheels outreach. Isn’t it wonderful how God made that connection? And we want you to get connected, too. Visit joniandfriends.org to find out more about serving on Wheels for the World.
