Declare It Fearlessly

I don’t know about you, but I love reading Paul’s letters to the churches.

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I don’t know about you, but I love reading Paul’s letters to the churches.  I mean, picture it:  Paul in a prison cell; shackles cutting into his ankles.  He has this one chance to write his friends in Ephesus and with all his physical hardships, in the sixth chapter of that letter, he says:“Pray for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”  Oh friend, if only we would pray like Paul; but instead, we ask for instant relief from our uncomfortable situation, and that’s not bad, it just may not God’s top priority for you. The priority in your prayer might be, “Lord, how can I be bold for the gospel through all my problems?”  So, join me in praying that way. And watch the miracles happen.
