Cleanse Me

I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Asking someone to cleanse you is a hard thing to do. Literally, I have to ask it every day. Someone, every morning, has to give me a bed bath. Now that is awfully personal. Cleansing is something you'd really rather do yourself. But literally, I can't. And figuratively, you can't either. Just as other hands have to clean my body, the Holy hands of someone else have to clean your heart. Remember when the Lord washed the disciples' feet? Only He could completely cleanse them from their sins. No wonder the Psalmist cried to God, “Wash me and I'll be whiter than snow.” 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins He is faithful and He is just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Go to God today, if you need to, and let Him wash you. And, friend, you'll come out of it whiter than snow.
