A Broken Spirit

At times, dealing with paralysis day-in and day-out makes me feel like giving up.

Hi, this is Joni Eareckson Tada and at times, dealing with paralysis day-in and day-out makes me feel like giving up.  I have, at times, said to God, "That’s it. I can't do this paralysis thing." Now the world would say, "Yep, you got it... you're useless… it’s the trash can for you." The devil would say, "Look at that. You’ve lost it. You ought to be ashamed of yourself." But God says, "I've been waiting for you to come to Me like this. You need My help; for without Me, you can do nothing." How good of the Lord! Psalm 51 says that God will only use a life that is broken. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." Go to God when you’re broken, and you’ll discover what wholeness and healing is all about.
