Not long ago, doctors diagnosed Christopher with a very rare form of cancer.

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Not long ago, doctors diagnosed Christopher with a very rare form of cancer. Barely into his forties, this man’s got so much to live for. He wondered if he would survive. But as he began treatment, he found such comfort in the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who said: “The present day should be the boundary of our care and striving." Wow, what great words. Because you know what? Christopher doesn’t know what tomorrow brings, if his treatment is going to be affective or not. But God knows and that’s all that matters. Can you see why those words meant so much amidst an uncertain medical prognosis? In fact, Christopher told me, “Joni, from that quote, God told me, He’s got to slow me down. And I’ve got to learn to live in God’s eternal today. My health challenge teaches me that ‘the present day should be the boundary of my care and striving.’” Oh friend, have you seen the boundaries God has given for your care and striving? It is just today.
