An Ambassador

Whenever Ken and I travel on a ministry trip we always say we want to be the best possible ambassadors for Christ.

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and whenever Ken and I travel on a ministry trip — whether to the airport, our hotel, a conference a church — or when we serve on a Family Retreat or Wheels for the World trip … everywhere we go, we always say we want to be the best possible ambassadors for Christ. Colossians chapter 3 tells us to be holy and compassionate, kind and humble — these are the qualities that make up a great ambassador for Christ, because they are qualities of Jesus Himself. And, as ambassadors, we are to represent the King. In other words, Jesus makes His presence visible through us, His people. Paul Tripp says that, “You are the look on Christ’s face. You are the tone of His voice. You are the touch of His hand. You are the physical representation of His grace.” Wow. So, join Ken and me in representing Christ today, the best possible way that you can, as his ambassador.
