Pastor Alex and Joni

Recently Pastor Alex Boamah from Ghana, West Africa came by for a visit (he was in town visiting his sponsor church). Pastor Alex is doing a remarkable work reaching disabled children in his country with the love of Christ. He has even served as camp pastor for our International Family Retreats in Ghana. Pastor Alex shared how, as a young man, he once sought out voodoo and drank the potions of witch doctors. But then he heard the distinct call of Jesus Christ on his heart, and went immediately from darkness to a love for the Light of the World. Now, he is shining the light of Christ to people with disabilities — pray for the Gospel to enjoy success through his ministry!

My son, Michael, arrived in Ghana early Wednesday (4/13). He will be working on the Old Testament translation into Komba. God is bringing many to faith in Jesus Christ. There is so much work to do yet. God bless Pastor Alex!
