How May We Pray for You?

“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

At Joni and Friends, we’re passionate about prayer. If you have any prayer requests, let us know… we’d love to pray for you!

Every morning at Joni and Friends, our staff gathers at 8:00 a.m. to pray. During that time, we thank God for you because of your faithful partnership in this ministry. We faithfully pray for any specific needs you have shared with us. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray for you…and we know you are doing the same for us!

Please share your prayer requests with our staff today.

My daughter passed into heaven May 5, 2016, saddest day of my life, I know she’s in heaven but it still doesn’t take away the daily pain and sadness of missing her.

Hi! I have a chronic condition called Primary Lymphedema in my legs and feet. This means that my lymph nodes in my lower extremeties are damaged or disrupted. There is no cure, and it leaves me with severe disfigurement and pain in my legs and feet in addition to walking and balance difficulties. I also have a mild form of Cerebral Palsy that affects my left side. I feel so alone at times, and there are no local support groups in my area. My doctor listens to me when I need to talk, and she is very understanding. She put me in touch with a wound care nurse who specializes in Lymphedema, and he is a Christian who prays with me when I ask. That helps a lot. Thank you for taking the time to pray for me. I am always praying for your ministry and for Joni and her husband, Ken. Sincerely, Diane Milligan

Hello. I am a Christian, diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Degenerative Disc Disease (and other illnesses). I also am the parent of an adult diagnosed with autism..she is 32 years old. I feel like I have been abandoned by the body of Christ, with the exception of a few faithful friends. This is extremely hard to bear, especially around the holidays. Please pray for my healing, as well as my daughter's deliverance...and that God will touch the hearts of his people to reach out to people like me...we need people to care enough to visit, offer to cook and clean, or meet other needs. Even writing this message is bringing me to tears...how can people who love God forget about those who are suffering?

Hi, my name is Jan and I am 53. I am also totally blind and am ok with that. I know God uses it for His glory. I also have a severe learning disability. I would like you to pray that I would have the will to live each day. I have never had that. I do not have any special gifts and what I desire to do never, "and I mean never," works out. I watch other excel at the things I have a desire to do. It has made me so withdrawn from the Lord. Thank you.

My friend, Marcia Schmidt, is someone you have prayed for before. I wanted to tell you thank you... that despite her difficult illness, she is still positive in her outlook. I would love to have you pray for her again as she has Huntington's Disease, so the progression of the disease means losing her ability to speak... and she is already very difficult to understand. Pray that God would all her to be able to 'plateau' in this area, so she doesn't lose all ability. Thanks.

Please pray God grants me the wish to live long enough to take care of my darling David until God takes him home. David has Alzheimer's, and I am his caretaker - the one he shadows now all day. We are "Siamese twins" if you will. 24/7. And ok - I'm a tad worried about my own health. ALSO that I am ALWAYS "sweet and patient" with Darling David. I an grateful I am a TON more "sweet and patient" most of the time. But ever so often, BOOM. If i'm not here to BE with him, I don't know what will become of him. Just let me last as long as david does, that's all.

My prayer request is for my husband of 30 years. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer in July of 2017 and is in hospital now for a stem cell transplant. He's been on many chemo pills and infusions and is now hospitalized for 17 days while he gets his stem cells back and starts to grow a new immune system. Please pray for a "stringent complete response" if the Lord is willing. Dave has tremendous faith in our Lord and our pastor says he's inspiring others in our church (Bethlehem Bible Church - W Boylston, MA. He'll come home and continue to recuperate for at least 6 months to a year. Thank you so much for praying! Love Joni, so much. Have all her books and the Beyond Suffering Bible, just wonderful!
