After a tragic accident, Ron Huckabee went from being a “do-it-all” preacher to being a quadriplegic who spent weeks in bed due to depression. Watch this video to see how an encouraging word got Ron back to living, in fact, back to busy living in Christ.

Thank you, Lord, for ALWAYS being the God of hope - and for desiring that we 'get busy living'! You are great God!

This is so wonderful to see your blog! I have read so many of your books, don't want to say enjoyed them because of what happened to you, but have enjoyed your telling of your experiences. So many people criticize the internet and fb, but it is what "you" do with it and what you write. With you and others, the opportunity is here to do good and share it. I do like personal testimony and how people turned their life around and accepted challenges. Sorry, don't want to take up all your time and space. This is such a good use of the internet, God bless you and all connected and involved in its creation!

Thankyou for this video about Ron and the message 'get busy living' I have a disability and often find the depression harder to live with.It is life draining instead of lifegiving. I think HOPE is the key to never give up hope.sometimes it is difficult to keep it alive on the inside.I would so much appreciate it if you could pray that I can over come the depression,.I have . and to be thankful for what I am able to do.I have joni's book and receive her Peaels of wisdom each day.I think some of the anger that lurks around is at the root of the depression. With love and thanks Maria x

I was feeling kind of down and needed some encouragement so I decided to watch this. That was a blessing! Thank you. I'm disabled in a different way, but the same principles apply. When we see our Saviour face to face we'll know "He hath done all things well." (Mark 7:37)

To God be all the glory! What an encouragement to hear that God provided just the words that would motivate Ron to start living again. God's Word is truth and I also want to bind it to my heart daily that I may be about God's business in loving and doing!

Dear Joni, Oh,the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearch- able are his judgments and how inscru- table his ways! (Rom 11:33;ESV). How encouraging that God will provide in words if we need one for someone who is in need!
