I just spent the most amazing week at family retreat 2nd week Bonclarken. With the Charlotte office. When I am able to be an STM I always hope to try in some small way to be ray of sunshine in the family's life but it always turns out that I am the one who always receives the blessing from them. When I go to retreat it is like heaven on earth , truly you can feel the love of Christ all around you. The Charlotte office staff are amazing to work with and so helpful. I feel like I am part of there team. These family's need our love and support and that is what they get here. I pray for the whole staff and all those who give there time , that they are richly blessed. I am also grateful to Joni that she has started this ministry for some many family's to have just a small break from the everyday life that is really so hard for them. Here the love of Christ is everywhere. I can't wait to go back next year and see who God will pair me with. May God bless and keep you all.

This is probably a bit different then most. I've just read Joni's book "A Place of Healing" and I'd mentioned Joni in a blog post. If its helpful to you, please use it.

I wrote this post on 4/23/14, right after I got home from my first JAF Family Retreat. I reposted it today, 8/7/14, because that week made a huge, deep, lasting impact on my life and I'd like to share my experience again.
