Interns washing Joni's wheelchairThis past weekend we said goodbye to 10 of our summer interns who were with us for eight weeks of hands-on ministry, classroom instruction, Family Retreat volunteering, and serving in Haiti. Before they departed, Ken and I invited them to our home for a backyard luau – while the meal was being prepared, Michaela, Jordan and Jenny jumped right in, grabbed some Clorox wipes and gave my wheelchair a good cleaning...

Stop! Ask Before You Pet a Service Dog.

If you’re like most of us, you love dogs! And when you see one coming by, you just can help to go and pet it, right? But wait! Because if it’s a service dog, you should first stop and ask permission from its owner before you pet the dog. Take a look at this video made by our Kids' Corner on how to approach service dogs.
